The second day at Jerez brought ill luck for Ducati and Go& Fun Honda: two riders crashed hard and one of them is yet unclear whether he will be able to ride today in the 3rd and final round of the tests.
We're speaking about Alvaro Bautista, who had a very nasty crash, with the bike being pretty mauled, though at least not catching on fire. Bautista lowsided and was thrown into the air fence, subsequently complaining about pain in his left hand and knee.
He was rushed to the hospital and eventual medical investigations showed a knee strain. However, the biggest problem is that X-rays showed small fractures in his 4th and 5th fingers. So far we don't have updates on whether Bautista will be riding today, and current time charts offered by MotoGP do now show him as riding at the time of writing.
The second crash of the day saw Pramac Ducati's Andrea Iannone crashing, too. MotoGP.com showed some pictures of the crashed bike, but the info on the rider is scarce, to say the least. Iannone was not on the official time tables for today's test. We will be back as we find out more.
