Have you ever wondered what’s the world’s most fastest SUV? Did we hear someone say a German name? Wrong! The fastest SUV on the planet is based on a 2013 Jeep Grand Cherokee SRT8 and it’s developed by Hennessey Performance. Or so they say, because the vehicle has yet to be tested all the way.
But who else would build such a monster anyway? In their typical fashion, the Texas-based specialist fitted the Supercharged Jeep Grand Cherokee HPE650 with several performance enhancing features, such as a TVS2300 Supercharger System, a HPE Air Induction System, a Stainless Steel Long Tube Headers and a High Flow Fuel Injector Upgrade.

Visual updates are not that obvious, but the SUV comes with numbered dash and engine plaques, “Powered by Hennessey” engine covers and “HPE650” exterior badging. Good enough if you’re looking for power and speed instead of just a fancy-looking pile of metal and plastic.

As we already mentioned, to most important detail lies under the bonnet, where no less than 650 HP can be summoned at 6,200 rpm. No word on 0 to 62 mph or quarter mile times, but Hennessey should spill the beans pretty soon. Until further notice, they’ve released a video with the Supercharged Grand Cherokee hitting it hard on the dyno. Scroll below to watch and... weap.
