Yet another car you’re not supposed to see yet has fallen victim to the pirates of the interweb, as the brand new Hyundai Veloster Turbo has fallen into the hands of Jalopnik ahead of its debut at the 2012 North American International Auto Show in Detroit.
We’ll have to wait a bit to find out if this is also the output of the US model version, but we already know that the engine powering the Veloster Turbo is a 1.6-liter with twin-scroll turbocharging and a direct fuel injection system produces 204-horses and a peak torque of 265Nm (195 lb-ft) at 1,750 rpm.
On the cosmetic front, the Turbo has a more aggressive front end with new bumpers, fog lights and grille. The wheelarches have been widened and the single center-mounted exhaust has been changed for two sporty-looking oval tips.
