During the global testing phases for the brand new Chevrolet Malibu, the midsize sedan has clocked a combined one million miles (1.6 million kilometers) over a period of 22 months on six different continents.
While that doesn’t sound like that impressive an achievement, we calculated this equivocates to traveling the distance of the Great Wall of China some 182 times. It would also be enough to go around the Earth more than 40 times at its thickest point. For a regular driver clocking 15,000 miles a year, it would take over 66 years to go the distance.

“You learn a lot about a car when you spend so much time in it – and that’s exactly the point,” said Mark Moussa, global chief engineer. “In the last year and a half, during every minute of the day, a 2013 Malibu has been driving somewhere around the world – all to make it the best car it can be.”

Mihnea's favorite cars have already been built, the so-called modern classics from the '80s and '90s. He also loves local car culture from all over the world, so don't be surprised to see him getting excited about weird Japanese imports, low-rider VWs out of Germany, replicas from Russia or LS swaps down in Florida.
