2013 Chevrolet Malibu Eco Pricing Announced

A base price of $25,996, including the $760 destination charge, has been slapped onto the 2013 Chevrolet Malibu Eco, which will hit dealers in the first quarter of 2012. Thanks to the GM eAssist system, the frugal mid-size sedan will do 26 mph city and an impressive 38 mpg highway.
The power comes from a 2.4-liter Ecotec engine with 182 hp. The on-board electric motor juices a lithium-ion battery through regenerative braking. The powertrains also comprises of a 6-speed automatic transmission with Start Stop functionality.

Other fuel-saving measures taken include adding an aluminum bonnet which is lighter than the steel one it replaces and some low-resistence tires.

Standard features include 8 airbags, a rearview camera system and various safety systems as well as air conditioning, an audio system with a 7-inch in diagonal colour touch screen, Bluetooth and USB connectivity, SiriusXM Satellite Radio, Cruise Control and power windows.
