We hope that somebody at GM is reading this message and taking it to heart: this is not the way you tease an upcoming model, not even on Facebook! The idea of getting people’s attention with a teaser photo was to show a little bit of the car that best depicts its sporty valences or its pure design language, but somewhere along the line marketing teams must have had a go, and this came out.
The second teaser was published on Buick’s Facebook page where a dedicated section for the reveal of the 2013 Encore has been created. The compact crossover is going to be shown at the 2012 Detroit Motor Show and is reportedly based on a similar model created by Opel in Europe.

We’re not really sure about that though, as a Buick model that debuts in the states needs to have the proper size to accommodate NA consumers. The Encore is likely actually based on the Chevrolet Equinox.

He also loves local car culture from all over the world, so don't be surprised to see him getting excited about weird Japanese imports, low-rider VWs out of Germany, replicas from Russia or LS swaps down in Florida.
