The British division of Mercedes Benz has announced today that the new ML 63 AMG will be available on UK roads from an on the road price of £82,995.
The sports SUV is powered by a 5.5-liter bi-turbo direct-injection V8 engine delivering 525 hp and 700 Nm of torque – or 557 hp and 760 Nm with the optional AMG Performance Package (£6,165). Even in standard specification this is sufficient to accelerate it from 0-62 mph in 4.8 seconds, blitzing most normal sportscars.
But the new generation engine also makes the AMG model 40 percent more economical and 30 percent less polluting than the old car powered by a 6.2-liter V8.
The ML 63 AMG also comes with sports suspension and high-performance brakes with internally ventilated and perforated discs, Direct Steer and 20-inch five-spoke alloy wheels. The Mercedes-Benz Active Curve System with AirMATIC self-levelling air suspension is also standard.
