It seems that it’s been forever since we’ve started reporting on the new A-Class. Everybody agrees that it’s a good thing that it’s grown from its mono-volume ancestor with engines hidden under the dash to this, a proper premium hatchback. But we were always nervous they were going to ruin it at the last second and turn it into something gimmicky or bad to look at.
Thanks to Belgian website Autofans, we can show you the new A-Class. We have to say that we breathed a sigh of relief when we say that it looked this good in the production form. Those two intersecting character lines are unlike anything Audi makes, and the back end is a bit coupe-ish thanks to the curvature of the C-pillar.

Interestingly, the photos also show something else beside the regular hatchback. It seems that it’s either a story for a performance concept or a near-production ready prototype. But despite the flared wheelarches and body kit, the silver car doesn’t seem to have AMG badges on it, and is simply named the A 250, like any other normal Merc’ would be. Whatever the case, we should know more by tomorrow when the car is revealed.
