Concept becomes reality with the first set of production images and details for the all new Chevrolet Cobalt, a car we first laid eyes upon at the 2011 Buenos Aires Auto Show in June, back when it was still a concept.
The brand new 2012 Cobalt will go on sale in 40 countries and markets across the world, from Africa and South America to the Middle East and even Europe. However, it probably won’t be made available in he US, since it overlaps with the Sonic.

In Brazil, where it was designed, the Cobalt will get two engine options, a 1.4-liter with 102 hp and a bigger 1.8-liter that has yet to be fully revealed.

GM said the Cobalt is a global product and will be offered with a choice of four cylinder engines ranging in displacement from 1.3 to 1.8 liters running on ethanol, petrol or diesel, with automatic and manual transmissions available.

Mihnea's favorite cars have already been built, the so-called modern classics from the '80s and '90s. He also loves local car culture from all over the world, so don't be surprised to see him getting excited about weird Japanese imports, low-rider VWs out of Germany, replicas from Russia or LS swaps down in Florida.
