The flood of new BMW launching this year has subsided a bit for now and we can take a breath of air to look at what’s coming our way in the future. With the new M3 still far from hitting dealerships, the M6 is the only true performance model that’s not been unveiled.
The new sports coupe will undoubtedly make use of the same 4.4-liter Twin Scroll turbocharged V8 from the F10 M5. There’s no official word yet, but it could end up having all-wheel drive, as this is already being introduced on the other engines for the 6-Series.
But a good GT coupe is all about looks, so this is the part of the M formula we are focusing on. Thus, we stumbled upon this very interesting rendering from Bimmerpost member Alpine325ci. The biggest difference we can see between this and the M5 is the side air ducts, which angle up sharply on the M6.
Expect to see the new M6 to debut early next year, probably at the 2012 Detroit Motor Show.
