The new BMW M5 is elegant enough to make you want to attend all kinds of events that may have not interested you otherwise, but it's also muscular enough to make you want to abuse its every cell.
We’re here with a video (we must thank BMWBlog for the scoop) from Sport Auto magazine, which shows us the 2012 BMW M5 being put through its paces on a race track.
The main course is a focus on the speedometer, which shows us what happens when the driver drops a lit cigarette on the floor and uses the accelerator pedal to make sure that this doesn’t start a fire inside the precious car.
The test drive car must be fitted with the M Driver’s pack that allows it to exceed 300 km/h (186 mph). In fact, the F10 M5er manages to push the needle up to 314 km/h (195 mph). Enjoy!
