Yamaha Motor India has recently introduced a limited edition FZ series (FZ, FZ-S and Fazer) bikes in India, produced under the Midnight Special version. As the designation suggests, the bikes will come in an all-black color scheme accompanied by golden alloy wheels highlighting the exclusive looks of the machines.

Since the launch of FZ series in 2008, these bikes have gained immense popularity amongst youngsters. This is also the target segment for the company, who aims at 18-25 year old male who is brand conscious, stylish & confident and has an active mindset and inclination towards good things in life.

"Keeping in mind the festive season, we are launching Limited Edition FZ Series bikes and are confident that these too will be an instant hit among the biking enthusiasts,"
Pankaj Dubey from India Yamaha Motor said at the FZ Series Limited Edition
motorcycle launch.

"We have kept the essence of FZ series bikes intact while altering the aesthetics to exemplify the masculine feeling these tough machines are known for. The rich and sporty graphics will take the macho image to its next level."


Yamaha also revealed it will produce only 1,000 units of each of FZ, FZ-S and Fazer models and the aluminum plate on the fuel tank will bear the vehicle serial number (1-1000) to confirm the exclusivity of the bike. Also, the limited edition Fazer will carry the signature of the Yamaha brand ambassador of India John Abraham crafted in golden letters on the front cowl of the bike.

The limited edition 2011 Midnight Special FZ series bikes will retail as follows: Fazer for Rs. 74,500 ($1675 USD), FZ-S for Rs. 69,500 ($1563 USD), and FZ16 for Rs. 67,500 ($1,518 USD).
