It’s time for the second generation of the Volkswagen Touareg to become a big boy in the tuning world, so the aftermarket developers are starting to offer modification packages for the SUV.

The kit that we are going to present in this piece of news comes from ABT, one of the top VW Group tuners, targeting the vehicle, engine(s) and exterior.

The package boosts the diesel engines of the Touareg, also gifting the car with a body kit that uses a discreet approach. In addition to that, customers can choose between two models of lightweight alloy rims, which are offered in sizes up to 22-inch.

Since its launch in 2002 the Touareg has been a huge success for us. We have systematically worked on our interpretation of the SUV since then, whereby it is clear, in our opinion, that there should be special emphasis on sport,” said Christian Abt, the company’s General Manager. “More power wouldn’t hurt with a car as diverse as this, but it was important for us that the tuning suited the characteristics of the Touareg
