2011 Travertson V-REX 2 Custom Bike Looks Like a Sci-Fi Predator

Some custom works make us think they’ve just come to life directly from a sci-fi movie, and is exactly how the 2011 Travertson V-REX 2 makes us feel. Designed and built by Christian Travert in Fort Lauderdale, Florida, this wicked piece of machinery features a Harley V-Rod engine and uses Harley-Davidson electrics.

"With all of the Porsche know-how in that engine, it has a potential that can really be exploited in a motorcycle like the V-Rex,"
Travert said about the V-Rod. "It's a reliable motor and very simple for owners to get parts and service."

Based on the 2010 version, the upgraded model comes with more options than any other Travertson model, including a new steel subframe as well as license-plate bracket that includes an LED tail/brake light.

Other highlights of the V-REX 2 include digital speedometer, LED turn signals, custom paint as well as ultra boutique options that include a custom engraved fuel cap, acrylic wheel centers, vertical chrome tank strap decorated in crystal Swarovsky letters of your choice.

However, the most attractive features are the iPod dock, chrome wheels (with transparent acrylic spokes) and swingarm, Xenon lights and an Ostrich leather seat.

As its creator says, the V-REX’s unique feature is that “it looks good form every angle.” But, of course, such a special feature doesn’t come cheap. If the 2010 V-REX could be yours for $49,990, the V-REX 2 we presented you here comes with an MSRP of $53,990. But in the end, this will inflate even the frailest of egos.
