2011 Toyota 4Runner Pricing Announced

Japanese carmaker Toyota has just announced pricing for the 2011 4Runner SUV, which is scheduled to become available at US dealerships starting this September. The mid-sized SUV reportedly comes virtually unchanged compared to 2010, when it was launched in an all-new version.

The 2011 4Runner will come in three equipment grades, namely Limited, SR5 and Trail and will be offered as a rear wheel 4x2, a part-time 4x4 or a full-time multi-mode 4x4 with a locking center differential.

The standard engine is a 2.7-liter unit that releases a maximum output of 157 horsepower and 178 lb-ft of torque. There's a single transmission available across the entire range, namely a five-speed automatic.

The Kinetic Dynamic Suspension System (KDSS), a system that allows the vehicle to better control the throttle, the traction control and braking during off-road experiences, is available as an option.

Getting to the point that most interests us, the 2011 Toyota 4Runner price will start at $29,525 for the 4x2 V6 version equipped with a 5-speed automatic gearbox while the range topping 4x4 V6 Limited that also comes with a 5-speed automatic reaches $39,685.

The base MSRPs reflect changes that range from a decrease of $115, or 0.3 percent on some models, to an increase of $350, or 1.2 percent on others.

According to the North American division of Toyota, base MSRPs for the 2011 4Runner do not include a delivery, processing, and handling (DPH) fee of $810. The DPH fee for vehicles distributed by Southeast Toyota (SET) and Gulf States Toyota (GST) may vary.
