2011 Hurley Haywood Porsche GT3 Giveaway

You read it right, one very exciting Porsche model is to be given away at a fund raising event organized by Continental Tire and GRAND-AM. The 2011 Hurley Haywood Edition Porsche GT3 will, however, not be the only model up for grabs, as it will be joined by a 2011 Porsche Cayenne S hybrid. The two models will choose their new owners during the 2011 Continental Tire Dream Giveaway event which kicked off this month.

Those willing to enter for a chance to win one of the two models will have to donate a few bucks to benefit the WorldCause Foundation and Camp Boggy Creek, two non-profits who strive to help poor people and seriously ill children.

The prizes up for grabs for those willing to lend a hand are, in our view, more than an incentive to make you donate a portion of your fortune. The Hurley Haywood Porsche GT3, named after Motorsports Hall of Famer Hurley Haywood, is the most powerful 911 GT3 ever made. Power for it comes from a 3.8l six-cylinder boxer engine capable of pushing the car from naught to sixty in under four seconds. The model is, at the same time, the single Hurley Haywood Porsche ever made.

And since the model is so special, the lucky winner of the car will also get some driving tips, meant to teach him how to properly drive the GT3, from Haywood himself.

The Cayenne S hybrid on the other hand comes with no other enhancements. The model is powered by a combination between an electric motor and an internal combustion engine which gives it 21 mpg in city driving and 25 mpg on the highway.
