The 2011 CTS has been built using Cadillac’s safety philosophy that covers the events that occur before, during and after a crash. The vehicle uses a high-strength steel body structure and safety cage. These are complimented by a number of standard safety features. The list of “guardian angels” includes dual-stage driver and passenger front airbags, front seat mounted pelvic, thorax side air bags, roof-rail side curtain airbags that cover the front and the rear seats of the vehicle, reduced force front safety belts with dual pretensioners and front seat active head restrains.
In addition to that, the vehicle comes equipped with the safety and security OnStar assistance system.
