2011 Cadillac CTS Gets 19-Inch All-Season Tires

General Motors announced that it will offer a new 19-inch all-season tire and rim package for the 2011 Cadillac CTS Sport Sedan and CTS Sport Wagon. The kit comes with carbon for the tire’s sidewall to offer responsive handling. The aforementioned vehicles had already been offered with 19 inch rims, but these were exclusively delivered with summer tires.

Cadillac moved to the 19-inch all-season tire to meet the needs of consumers who like the look of a larger wheel but want the versatility of an all-season tire. Summer tires improve traction in warm weather but need to be changed to winter tires during cold weather,” stated the press release.

The tire used in the new offer is the 19-inch Goodyear Eagle RS-A2 all season, which is available on the 3.6 liter V6 performance and premium models of the 2011 CTS Sport Sedan and CTS Sport Wagon. The vehicles, which come in standards with 18-inch wheels, are already in dealerships across the U.S..

If you plan to tick the 19-inch wheel & all season tire box on the optional extras list, be prepared to pay $850. The suspension of the 2011 models was tweaked so that the cars offer the same level of performance while switching to all-season tires.

"We wanted to expand the audience for the great-looking 19-inch wheel and retain the characteristic ride and handling feel of the CTS,” said Rick Kewley, CTS vehicle performance manager. “The new package delivers on performance.
