BMW has released the U.S. pricing for the second generation of the X3 (codenamed F25), a vehicle that is scheduled to arrive in dealerships across the country by the end of the current year.

As you know, the American version of the SAV will be introduced with two petrol engines. The entry-level one is a naturally aspirated 3.0 liter straight six powerplant that produces 240 hp at 6,600 rpm and 311 Nm of torque from 2,600 rpm. The xDrive28i model can hit 62 mph in 6.7 seconds and has a top speed of 150 mph (241 km/h).

The second unit, is a 3.0 liter twin-turbo straight six that delivers 306 hp at 5,800 rpm and a peak torque of 400 Nm at 1,300 rpm. The xDrive35i model needs 5.7 seconds to cover the 0 to 62 mph sprint and offers a top speed of 152 mph (245 km/h), while returning a fuel economy of 26.7 mpg (8.8 liters per 100 km) and emitting 204 grams of CO2 per km.

Both engines come in standard with a ZF eight-speed automatic transmission and features a brake energy recuperation system and a stop-start function. The xDrive28i version can be yours starting from $37,625, while the xDrive35i model has a starting price of $41,925. You can also see the previously-released European pricing of the vehicle here.

The new X3 is a much more mature car, compared to the previous generation. The vehicle is being produced in the U.S. at BMW’s Spartanburg plant, where it has joined the X5 and the X6 models.
