Japanese manufacturer Toyota will debut the 2010 4Runner at the Texas State Fair very soon but before the official unveiling we got the chance to see the car in a bunch of photos that got leaked onto the web. Unfortunately, there is no information regarding the car, except for a few rumors that are pointing to various engines and features to be seen on the upcoming model.

As you can see in the adjacent photos, the 4Runner will boast an improved design, with the car expected to be more spacious and provide a roomier interior. The front fascia has been reworked, sporting slight modifications at the grille and headlights.

Inside, the Japanese carmaker will update the trim levels and equipment, as the 2010 4Runner will rely on more premium materials and advanced features. For example, it is expected to be offered with keyless ignition, GPS navigation and Bluetooth support.

As for the engines, early reports are pointing to a 2.7-liter four-cylinder unit offered as standard and developing 161 horsepower. A 4.0-liter V6 configuration might be available as well, with maximum output going around 258 horsepower.

The 4Runner is currently in its fourth generation, with the 2009 model nominated for the 2010 North American Car and Truck of the Year award. The model is based on the Land Cruiser Prado and comes with an impressive line-up of new features. Even if the design of the car is the most obvious improvement of the new generation, the 4Runner comes with a lot of other changes related to the standard features and to the engines.
