The cabrio will hit dealerships in Europe on March 27, 2010, but orders for the car can be placed starting from today. Prices for the line-up (listed below) range in between 47,719 and 71,519 euros. They include 19 percent VAT and are specific to Germany.

The E-Klasse cabrio features a roof which can be opened and closed fully automatically within 20 seconds, at speeds of up to 40 km/h. The car's performances, as well as the comfort of those inside, is insured by the use of Mercedes' AIRCAP automatic draught-stop, a new system which is used to reduce turbulence in the interior. According to Mercedes, one can have a phone conversation, in hands-free mode, at speeds of up to 200 km/h.

The innovative AIRCAP and enhanced AIRSCARF systems enable four people to enjoy open-top motoring all year round", Dieter Zetsche, Chairman of the Board of Daimler AG and Head of Mercedes-Benz Cars said when announcing the price list.
