Despite the fact that it is more or less similar to Lexus interiors, the 2010 Equus' is fairly luxurious, being partially based on some wood trims, especially on doors and on the right part of the dashboard. As you can see by yourself in the adjacent photo, the dashboard features a large multimedia screen, probably with touchscreen support that allows drivers to browse among the main functions of the car (navigation, music and videos) with ease. An analog clock is installed straight below the aforementioned display.
The center console also includes an iDrive-like system that would probably allow drivers to access the main functions of the car without having to use the touchscreen functions. Just like in BMW's case, such a system provides excellent ergonomics so installing it in such a large car pretty much makes sense.
As you probably know from our previous reports, the next-generation Equus is expected to arrive on the South Korean market in early March, with the Korean manufacturer reportedly working on two different versions of the car. The first model will feature a regular wheelbase but, according to the same source, an extended wheelbase variant, featuring a 5.0-liter V8 engine producing much more power than the standard model, may arrive in late 2009. This version will also include an 8-speed automatic transmission, especially aimed at fuel economy and ride comfort.
