2010 Harley Road King Peace Officer SE Giveaway

This year marks the fourth consecutive year that American motorcycle manufacturer Harley-Davidson is donating a motorcycle to support the National Law Enforcement Museum. This time, the bike in question is a 2010 Road King Peace Officer Special Edition.

The non-profit Memorial Fund is selling raffle tickets for $25 each, with the proceeds to support the construction of the museum. Groundbreaking for the Museum will take place on October 14, 2010, with a projected opening in late 2013.

The 2010 Road King Peace Officer SE has a MSRP of $18,402, and only 6,000 raffle tickets are being printed. The raffle drawing will take place and the winner will be announced on the evening of October 14, during the Inaugural Gala of the National Law Enforcement Museum. However, the winner needs not to be present to win.

The Museum, spread over 55,000 sq-ft, will tell the story of American law enforcement through high-tech, interactive exhibits, collections, research and education.

"Harley-Davidson Motor Company has a long and distinguished history of supporting law enforcement in our country, so it was not surprising that the Company would step up early in the campaign to support the National Law Enforcement Museum and would remain a strong and reliable partner ever since," said Craig W. Floyd, the Memorial Fund's chairman and CEO.

As for the bike offered in the prize draw, the Road King Peace Officer SE comes in 2010 with new features such as a chrome, 2-1-2 exhaust, rubber mounted Twin cam 96B engine and new helical-cut 5th gear. The bike will come in either Vivid Black or Solid Dark Peace Officer Blue.
