The Lotus booth at the Geneva Auto Show is featuring yet another version of the Evora, dubbed Carbon Concept, purpose built to "emphasize Lotus’ motorsport pedigree." The car features only exterior tweaks meant to impress, as the engine has not been modified in no way.
The car boasts, on the outside, a white color finished in advanced water based pearlescent paint, contrasting with the carbon fiber panels. Carbon is featured on the roof, as well as on the Lotus Motorsport inspired diffuser and splitter.
The car rides on 9-inch alloy wheels front and rear, shod with Pirelli P-Zero Corsa tires (235/35 wide front and 285/30 wide rear).
On the interior, the same line of carbon panels and perforated leather and matt alcantara are featured on the footwell, dashboard and roof.
“The design of the Evora Carbon Concept car features exotic, high tech materials that offer a good synergy with the Lotus brand image, expressing our motorsport heritage and history of stylish sports cars for which Lotus are renowned,” Donato Coco, Lotus Design director said in a release.
Still, we reckon it will not be the Carbon the one to turn heads, but the Evora 414E Hybrid and its powertrain, also on display in Geneva.
The 414E is a combination between two electric motors, a battery pack and a somewhat small internal combustion engine. The electric motors develop each 152 kW (207 PS/204 hp) and 400 Nm of torque, with an additional 35 kW (48 PS/47 hp) of power at 3,500 rpm being squeezed from the internal combustion engine.
