2010 comes with a new American offering for British roads, as the 300C range comes to the Island packing no less than four versions, two engines and, most importantly, not so out of this world prices. The 300C will be offered in the UK as 300C SE, SR, SRT and the SRT-8, with prices starting from £23,995 on the road.

The entry level Chrysler 300C SE is powered by a 3.0l common-rail diesel (CRD) engine developing 215 bhp at 4,000 rpm and 376 lb.-ft of torque at 1,600 rpm. It has a top speed of 143 mph and an acceleration time of 8.7 seconds.

The SE comes equipped with leather trimmed seats, ESP, ABS, heated front seats, dual zone climate control, LED ambient lighting, front fog lamps, parking sensors (front and rear), Xenon headlamps and 18-inch aluminum wheels.

The SR, priced at £24,995, adds to the equipment of the SE level auto-dimming rear view mirror, upgraded Boston Acoustics sound system including subwoofer and uconnect gps satellite navigation system, uconnect phone with voice recognition and hands-free comm system.

The SRT version is priced at £27,995 and comes, in addition to the features of its poorer cousins, with mesh grille with chrome surround, body colored door mirrors and door handles, wheel arch extensions, 20-inch aluminum wheels, leather and suede trimmed sports seats and carbon fiber interior details.

The top of the line 300 remains however the SRT-8. Even if its price it almost double the size of that of the entry level version (£41,795), it's worth every penny. The car comes equipped with a 6.1 V8 HEMI petrol engine, developing 425 horsepower and 420 lb.-ft of torque. It accelerates from naught to sixty in 5 seconds (impressive, given the car's size) and has a top speed of 165 mph. To handle the increased performance levels, the SRT-8 features Brembo brakes and performance tuned steering and suspension.
