2010 Bufori BMS R1 Debuts at Macau GT Cup

The Bufori BMS R1, which is homologated to FIA GT3 requirements, recently debuted at the Macau GT Cup race, held on the Guia Circuit in Macau. Unfortunately, the Bufori Motor Sports car had an accident at Lisboa corner and sadly retired from the race.

"This kind of project has never been done in Asia, except in Japan. Today on the track, we have beaten the likes of Aston Martin and we were racing with Ferrari, Lamborghini, Porsche...etc. Without any testing, we were already the quickest GT4 car in today's race. The car has amazing potential,"
said Alex Yoong, the driver of the Bufori BMS R1.

The team and the car will now return to Malaysia for repairs and testing at Sepang Circuit.

"Although we only completed four laps, the race experience has provided the team with a lot of useful data. Whether in the development of the CS road car or the BMS R1 race car, it will be a great help. This is also why we entered this race in the first place: implementing race developed technology and utilizing the race experience on our road car," said BMS Team Prinicipal, Bufori Global distributor, BMS Sales & Marketing (BSM) CEO Joe Lim.

The Bufori BMS R1 is the race edition of the Bufori CS, which stands for "Compact Sports". The Bufori CS is a two-door coupe powered by a 4 cylinder 2.0-liter turbocharged engine and fitted with fully adjustable upper and lower arm front and rear suspension with coil over shocks, to provide excellent grip.

The Bufori CS is expected to be launched in Malaysia in the beginning of 2010 and more details will be revealed towards this year’s end.
