2010 Aston Martin Vantage Upgrades Announced

Aston Martin upgraded the V8 Vantage for model year 2010, although the company hasn't officially announced the modifications. But according to carmagazine.co.uk, the refreshed series is already available for orders, with first models to be delivered to consumers in the first months of 2010. Pricing for model year 2010 Vantage V8 starts at £83,191 ($135,140) for the coupé and £91,021 ($147,860) for the Roadster.

The aforementioned source informs that the Vantage can be now customized with 10-spoke forged 19-inch alloy wheels with diamond turned and silver finish, lightweight seats with kevlar and carbon fibre construction, clear rear lamps, N400 sill design, magnum silver bonnet and side strake meshes and 1000W B&Q hi-fi system.

The 2010 Aston Martin Vantage is powered by the 4.7-liter engine but this time, the unit has been tweaked to release fewer emissions. Preliminary figures are pointing to 315 grams of CO2 every kilometer, down from 328 g/km for the current model.

For the sake of comparison, the V12 configuration comprises a 6.0-liter engine that develops 510 horsepower at 6,500 rpm and 569 Nm of torque at 5,750 rpm. The engine releases 388 grams of CO2 per kilometer and burns up to 20.3 l/100km (11.6 mpg) of gasoline every 100 kilometer. It also achieves 24 mpg (9.8 L/100Km) highway and 17.3 mpg (13.6 L/100Km) combined.

In terms of performance, the V12 configuration pushes the car from 0 to 100 km/g in 4.2 seconds and helps it achieve a maximum speed of 190 mph (306 km/h).
