2009 Toyota Camry Upgraded

Toyota Australia recently announced a bunch of modifications for its Camry range which is now more focused on fuel efficiency and CO2 emissions than its predecessors. Fuel consumption for the automatic model is now improved by around 11 percent, themotorreport.com.au writes, meaning that the upgraded model eats up to 8.8 l/100 (26.7 mpg). Most engine tweaks were aimed at improving fuel efficiency, so power outputs remain unchanged with the 2.4-liter powerplant still generating 1147 kW (157 horsepower) at 5700 rpm and 218 Nm of torque at 4,000 rpm. As for the exterior improvements, the car comes with a redesigned front fascia with new front bumper and restyled grille for almost every single trim. And because we're speaking about the available trims, the 2009 Camry is being offered in four different versions, as it follows: Altise, Ateva, Sportivo and Grande.
Specifically, the Altise now features side and curtain airbags, LED tail lamps, sunvisor lamps, seat back pockets, new audio system with two additional speakers, and Bluetooth connectivity. The Ateva brings a rear-view camera, dual-zone climate control, MP3 support, and an uprated audio system with 4.3-inch LCD display. The Sportivo is offering dual-zone climate control as well, plus auxiliary audio-input jack and push-button heater control and LCD display.

Last but not least, Camry Grande includes smart entry, smart start, electro-chromatic rearview mirror, LED tail lamps, and rear sonars.

As for the interiors, the upgraded Camry range sports new trims and seat fabrics. Prices remain the same for the whole series but the automatic Ateva and Sportivo will be offered with a $1,260 price cut.
