The economic chaos pushes global automakers to all kind of cost-cutting measures, including axing prices for their most-attractive products and introducing new features that might boost their sales. Nissan makes no exception to this rule and today announced the availability of a new trim level of the UK version of Qashqai, which will bring buyers a pack of new and appealing features at a more affordable price compared to the current versions.
And because we are talking about the Qashqai trim levels, the n-tec joins the range just between Acenta and Tekna grades and will be available for both Qashqai and Qashqai+2 bodystyles with any engine configurations available across the lineup.
To be more specific, the n-tec consists of 18-inch alloy wheels, a panoramic glass roof, rear privacy glass, satin silver roof rails and satin silver door handles plus Nissan’s Connect technology which, in its turn, brings a wide array of in-car infotainment functions - Bluetooth connectivity, five-inch touch screen satellite navigation with 2D/3D map and full postcode search facility, CD with MP3/WMA playback, FM/AM radio, AUX socket and USB port for full iPod connection.
Pricing for the 2009 Nissan Qashqai n-tec starts at 17,645 pounds for the 1.6-liter version and goes as much as 24,295 pounds for the Qashqai+2 n-tec 2.0d 4WD Auto edition.
“The dynamic duo’s 36 months zero per cent APR offer, with a minimum 30 per cent deposit, benefits from 12 months free ‘Just In Case’ package,” Nissan describes its latest special offer for the Qashqai range that is said to “protect customers should they be in the unfortunate position to lose their job through redundancy, accident or sickness”.
Both Qashqai and Qashqai+2 n-tec are already available across Nissan’s UK authorized dealership network, with first deliveries expected to hit the street in May.
