2009 Corvette GT1 Championship Edition Details

In case you're one of the many American Le Mans Corvette C6R fans out there and you've always dreamed about owning such an impressive car, it's time to wake up. Unless you plan to become a Le Mans driver, chances to drive such a car are close to zero. But instead, you can satisfy your C6R addiction with the GT1 Championship Edition package, especially rolled out by General Motors to celebrate Corvette C6R's racing success.

Still based on the Corvette Coupe 4LT, the GT1 Championship adds a wide range of features, including both interior and exterior upgrades.

First of all, the package comes with ZR1-style body color full width spoiler and chromed wheels plus a special engine
cover with carbon pattern. Then, the interior provides custom leather with yellow accent stitching and GT1 embroider on the leather seats, instrument panel and center console armrest.

The Coupe and the Convertible versions also include a Z51 Performance Package and a NPP Performance Exhaust, according to a statement provided by American automaker GM.

Unfortunately, the package doesn't bring you the extra power you may be looking for but still, if you're one of those guys who really enjoys putting shiny stickers on their cars then this may be a nice addition to your collection. And pretty expensive too, taking into account that the price of the whole set is... 7,840 bucks!

According to Jalopnik, the car is going to be officially unveiled at the 12 Hours of Sebring on March 21. General Motors says the production will be limited to 100 units per each color and body style combination so, if you'd really want to buy one of those and park it into your garage, you'd better hurry up a little bit.
