1976 was a good year for the Nova from a production perspective. Sales increased from approximately 273K units to over 334K cars, despite the Super Sport dropping to about 7,400.
The six-cylinder Chevrolet Nova remained the best seller with over 203,000 units. The increase was massive from 1975 when the L6 (a 250 straight-six unit) was fitted on 138,879 Novas.

However, the new 305 V8 was a major sales catalyst, adding 116,000 units to the yearly sales numbers. The almighty 350 dropped significantly from 71K Novas to only 15K units.

A Nova fitted from the factory with a 305 recently left the long-term storage to seek a chance to return to the road online. The car spent nearly two decades off the road, and eBay seller dieseltrader2023 says it spent most of the time outside.

The metal still looks good despite the bad news. The seller has done a great job taking photos of the undersides (without putting the car on a lift), and the floors seem solid. The rust damage has reached some parts, including the quarters, but a complete restoration should be able to deal with these problems easily.

The 305 under the hood starts and runs. It's the original engine that came with the car, but the most intriguing part is sitting on the odometer. The car has only 14K miles on the clock, and the owner guarantees they are original.

Everything on this car seems to support its ambitions of returning to the road with a factory setup, though you'll need to inspect the Nova in person to determine how much work it needs.

A 1976 Nova isn't the most desirable classic, but it'd still make for a fancy daily driver with the right restoration work. The owner says they're already planning some upgrades, including new rims, a custom paint job, and possibly other goodies, so if you're interested in keeping the Nova original, you should go see it as soon as possible.

A new windshield is waiting to be installed, while the headliner must be replaced. It's a project requiring work in several essential areas, but overall, it shouldn't be too hard to turn it into a daily driver.

The owner hopes they can get $4,700 for this Nova, and the eBay listing comes without the Make Offer option, which suggests no other deals are accepted. 52 people are already watching the listing, possibly hoping for a price cut.

Meanwhile, you can find the Nova sitting in Sanford, Florida. It sells with a clean title, the new windshield, a new carburetor, and a rebuilt alternator already installed on the car. You'll also get an aftermarket stereo with a power amp in the trunk, but the system needs speakers to work.
