A stunning 1972 BMW 2000 Touring has just been successfully restored to its former glory. However, this was no Sunday mechanic, behind the house when the wife is not home kind of job. The car was fully restored and rebuilt bu BMW Classic Customer Workshop.
When the car was first brought in, it was in very poor state, and after months of research and hours upon hours of manual labor, the quality of the finished product is outstanding.

The restorers had to repair body damage, as well as deal with and improve the car’s aging electrical and electronic systems. To set it apart from other 2000s, this particular example has Alpina-spec flared wheelarches, as well as bucket seats and Alpina rims.

It also features a completely rebuilt five-speed gearbox, and a sports exhaust, to let the 2.0-liter engine breathe better.
