After Ubisoft pulled the plug on the online-only first Crew game from 2014 a short while back, players gathered in droves to review-bomb the latest iteration, Motorfest, on Steam. It currently has a 55% Mixed score. Their dissatisfaction came from Ubisoft's disregard for players still playing The Crew. People can't access the game offline, so when the guillotine fell, so did any chance of anyone playing the game ever again. Hopefully, the same won't happen with The Crew 2, but at least you can export your vehicles to Motorfest as a future-proof method.
Last week, we didn't get such a great and extensive lineup of cars on offer. Developer Ivory Tower discounted the 2002 Nissan Skyline GT-R (R34) and a special edition 2021 Forsberg Racing Nissan 370Z as part of the Main Stage bundle that cost 427,279 Bucks or 61,039 Crew Credits (CC).

They were great but not spectacular. However, this week, at least, we're getting an old-school American classic that should be a great addition to any collector. The Forsberg Race Car Revival bundle features the 1970 Plymouth Road Runner and the 1989 Mazda MX-5 Miata NA. The latter was outfitted for rally racing.

Back in its heyday, the 1970 Road Runner's most popular configuration came with a 383-cubic-inch (6.3-liter) big-block V8 four-barrel mill that produced 335 horsepower and 425 pound-feet (576 Nm) of torque. Chrysler fitted 34,894 out of the 36,861 units that year with the 383-ci engine. The models featuring the 440-cubic-inch (7.2-liter) six-barrel and 426-cubic-inch (7.0-liter) HEMI powerplants were much harder to come by.

The one from The Crew Motorfest can produce 390 horsepower, sending it flying from 0 to 60 mph in 5.2 seconds with a top speed of 125 or 201 kph. There are two more versions of the 1970 Road Runner with the same performance figures, but they look so much better.

You should check out the Road Runner Freedom Edition and the La Verde Edition with serious low-rider vibes. The bad news is that they each cost 490k Bucks or 70k CC each. There aren't any in-game stats about the rally MX-5, but at least we know it has a maximum speed of 118 mph or 190 kilometers per hour.

The 20% discounted bundle has four more days on the clock at the time of writing and costs 558,319 in-game Bucks or 79,759 Crew Credits (CC), down from 697,900 Bucks and 99,700 CC.

This week's last order of business is the Custom bundle that features the 1992 Honda NSX along with Icy Lightning Underglow, Teal Molten, Core Tire, Cyan Ethereal Smoke, and Black Window Tint. The pack has a 30% discount for four more days. It costs 117,180 Crew Credits, down from 167,400. Given that you can only buy CC with real-life money, I'd advise caution and maybe hold out for a better-value item.

Codrin just loves American classics, from the 1940s and ‘50s, all the way to the muscle cars of the '60s and '70s. In his perfect world, we'll still see Hudsons and Road Runners roaming the streets for years to come (even in EV form, if that's what it takes to keep the aesthetic alive).
