We have to admit that the effervescent world of 2016 Chevrolet Camaro SS developments has kept us busy over the past two months or so, generating an attention detour as far as the S550 Mustang is concerned. Nevertheless, we are now back on Ford's pony topic since we want to bring you a 'Stang build that delivers otherworldly numbers.
The project comes from Hellion Power Systems, a tuner that developed a twin-turbo setup for the 2015 Mustang GT using 55mm turbochargers.

The aftermarket developer has now taken things to a whole new level, as its twin-turbo build now features 64mm units coming from Precision Turbos.

The Coyote heart of this Ford runs on E70, with the tuner paying a visit to the dyno room in order to see the results of the upgrade mentioned above.

Delivering 29.4 psi of boost, the new setup allows the Ford to generate no less than 1,416 hp and 1,152.58 lb-ft of twist at the rear wheels.

As for how all that muscle can be translated onto the asphalt, Hellion Power Systems had already descended into the 8-second area back in the days when their 5.0-liter Mustang used its 55mm setup, which meant the engine churned out 1,130 hp at the rear wheels.

To be more precise, in 1,130 RWHP trim, this Mustang GT managed to pull an 8.9s 1,320 feet run, with the tuner now planning to return to the prepped surface and put the upgraded setup to work.

The pressure on the car (no forced-fed pun intended) is immense, and since we mentioned the sixth-gen Camaro in the intro, we can't help but compare this to the Mustang GT in terms of aftermarket 1/4-mile performance.

While the Camaro has received all three main power adders so far (nitrous, supercharger and twin-turbocharging), the fastest SS out there can complete the quarter mile sprint in 9.6 seconds.
