130 MPH Shelby Cobra Crash at Willow Springs

Via the magic of the GoPro camera, we can now bring you footage of just how scary living through a car crash can be. This incident involves the Shelby Cobra, a timeless classic and takes place at a major US racing circuit.
Getting so close to death must have been a life-altering experience for the drive of the open-top car, as the accident took place at 130 miles per hour, or 210 km/h. That sort of speed sound non-survivable under normal road conditions, but we are glad to announce we’re not actually reporting on a fatality.

The footage taken on the famous Willow Springs Raceway in Rosamond, California, a sort of mecca for people who love to go fast. The car is destroyed completely, but the driver only sustained some minor injuries to his ribs and left knee, a miracle considering how these older cars are.

Mihnea's favorite cars have already been built, the so-called modern classics from the '80s and '90s. He also loves local car culture from all over the world, so don't be surprised to see him getting excited about weird Japanese imports, low-rider VWs out of Germany, replicas from Russia or LS swaps down in Florida.
