Much to our delight, car-related father and son adventures are a strong trend these days. And we're here to show you what happens when the dad is a supercar collector who shares the stable with his kid.
We're talking about the drag race in the piece of footage at the bottom of the page - any such brawl involving a Porsche 918 Spyder and a Ford GT is worthy of our attention, but when the two machines are driven... in the family, the adventure becomes extra spicy.

The two went for a half mile battle, going for a rolling start. And while a Ford GT could beat the Zuffenhausen halo car with the right aftermarket attention, this isn't the case here.

We're dealing with a stock Blue Oval supercar, which means Armik Anghakhani, the father, has 550 horses and 500 lb-ft at his disposal, while having to swap gears himself. As for his son Steven, he gets to play with the 887 hp and 944 lb-ft of the gas-electric Porscha.

So while the result of the battle is predictable, you can consider this a casual training run for the little one. After all, the kid has to keep his skills sharp if he wants to keep breaking drag racing records - for instance, Steven set a new McLaren 650S 1/2-mile record back in October, with a trap speed of 169.53 mph - you can check out the whole family (mom, dad and son) in the images below, which come from Armik's Facebook page.

In case you're wondering how Armik has managed to enter the world of high-octane machines, you should know he runs a tax and business consulting group headquartered in Beverly Hills.

Returning to the drag race discussed here, the video below includes the trap speeds of the two cars and we have to tell you the difference between them is not that big.
