The Simson SR2 is like its predecessor, a moped. The engine is started by stepping the pedals. In contrast to its predecessor SR1, the SR2's engine could be started while it was standing, because it had a pedal kickstarter . With the second gear engaged and the clutch disengaged, one could also cycling.
