Livewire S2 Del Mar (2023-Present) Specs, Performance & Photos

LiveWire was initially a dedicated electric vehicle (EV) division of the renowned American motorcycle manufacturer Harley-Davidson. But in 2022, the LiveWire company was separated from the parent company and became an independent electric motorcycle manufacturer.

The LiveWire S2 Del Mar was the first motorcycle manufactured by the Company that featured over-the-air updates (OTA), meaning that the bike can be updated and improved once the manufacturer develops new updates.

When it was launched, the bike included functionalities such as software updates, mobile app pairing, TPMS via mobile app, and event detection. Also, an app displayed essential information about weather, navigation, ride history, and tire pressure.

The new app included more functionalities, such as a rider and bike profile, navigation, localization and weather, ride history, roadside assistance, owner's manual, and mobile wallet for insurance and license storing.

The 2023 LiveWire S2 Del Mar was available with level one and two charging options, where level one included a charging cable that could be plugged into any standard 110v wall outlet, charging the battery from 20-80 percent in six hours and from 0-100 percent in 8.4 hours. Level two was much faster, charging the battery from 20-80 percent in 78 minutes and from 0-100 percent in 142 minutes.

As for range, the bike ran 182 km (113 miles) in the city streets, 112 km (70 miles) on the highway with 88 kph (55 mph) on the clock, and at a speed of 113 kph (70 mph) on the highway, the bike did 69 km (43 miles) with a full battery.

The 2023 LiveWire S2 Del Mar came with an MSRP of $15,499.
