HONDA NX4 Falcon (2001-Present) Specs, Performance & Photos

The NX4 Falcon was a motorcycle manufactured by Honda in Brazil, Mexico, and Argentina in 1999. The bike replaced the NX350 Sahara and featured a few changes over its production years.

In 2012, the Brazilian Honda NX4 Falcon was upgraded with a fuel injection system. In addition to Brazil, the bike was also sold in Argentina, Mexico, Peru, Chile, Uruguay, Morroco, and Portugal.

The Brazilian model had the Yamaha XT660 and some other motorcycles from KTM, Husqvarna, and Kawasaki as a competitor. The bike was also used by the Brazilian army, and the production stopped in 2008 due to strict limitations on emissions.

In 2012, Honda resumed the production of the NX4 Falcon by fitting the bike with a fuel injection system and meeting emissions standards imposed by the government. With the addition of the electronically controlled fuel system, the bike lost two hp and some torque.

For suspension, the 2001 Honda NX4 Falcon had a telescopic fork with 220 mm travel on the front and a Pro-Link shock absorber with 195 mm travel cushioning the rear wheel.

As for stopping power, the bike's wire-spoke wheels were fitted with a two-piston caliper and a 256 mm disc on the front and a single-piston caliper with a 220 mm disc on the rear, offering reliable braking performance.

The 2001 Honda NX4 Falcon packed a 397cc four-stroke single-cylinder air-cooled engine delivering an output power of 31 hp at 6,500 rpm and 34 Nm (25 lb-ft) torque at 6,000 rpm.
