Segment: Sport Touring
Production years: 2014, 2015
The Honda NM4 was a feet-forward motorcycle, first presented as a concept motorcycle at the 2014 Osaka Motorcycle Show and Tokyo Motor Show. The Japanese motorcycle manufacturer dropped the Vultus name and started selling the motorcycle in the same year for the US market but with a 670cc engine instead of the 745cc presented earlier.
The bike was created by a young design team that never changed their original concept through every stage of production and offered a radical style for the streets with functions from the future.
Some of the features and benefits of the bike included the style, with its massive front end and fluid lines, a user-friendly LED with 25 background colors, a six-speed automatic Dual Clutch Transmission (DCT), a low and comfortable seat, a foldable backrest that transforms into a passenger seat, and both front and rear integrated LED lights.
The model packed a lightweight diamond-shaped steel tube frame designed for just enough flexibility on different road surfaces and a lightweight aluminum swingarm that improved suspension reaction and control.
For suspension, the bike packed a 43 mm telescopic fork on the front and a Pro-Link monoshock absorber on the rear, while the stopping power was handled by two 320 mm discs with tow-piston calipers on the front wheel and a 240 mm disc with a two-piston caliper on the rear wheel.
As for power, the 2015 Honda NM4 Vultus was powered by a 745cc four-stroke parallel twin-cylinder liquid-cooled engine that delivered an output power of 54 hp at 6,250 rpm and 68 Nm (50 lb-ft) of torque available at 4,750 rpm.
