HONDA GL1800CA Valkyrie ABS (2013-2014) Specs, Performance & Photos

The 2014 Honda GL1800C Valkyrie came in another version that packed an advanced Anti-Lock Braking System (ABS) that enhanced handling on different road conditions or hard braking.

The GL1800CS Valkyrie ABS was a high-performance touring machine with a sleek, muscular design and a low seat height with wide handlebars that offered a comfortable riding position. It also packed various features that enhanced comfort and convenience, such as a stereo system, cruise control, and a large, adjustable windscreen.

The Valkyrie was reintroduced in 2013 as a 2014 model and a redesigned GL1800 Gold Wing. The bike, also known as the F6C, shared the same engine, frame, and transmission as the Gold Wing.

The suspension was comprised of a 45 mm cartridge-type fork on the front end, while on the rear, the bike was fitted with a single-sided Pro-Arm swingarm and a Pro-Link shock absorber with hydraulic spring preload adjustability.

As for braking performance, the 2014 Valkyrie ABS featured 10-spoke cast aluminum wheels with two 310 mm discs and hydraulic calipers on the front and a 316 mm disc engaged by a hydraulic caliper on the rear.

The bike was a powerful and safer tourer due to its ABS braking system. It was perfect for long-distance cruising and touring with its combination of performance and handling capabilities.

For power, the 1,832cc opposed six-cylinder liquid-cooled engine boasted 118 hp with a peak at 5,500 rpm and 167 Nm (121 lb-ft) torque at 4,000 rpm.
