DUCATI ST2 (1998-1999) Specs, Performance & Photos

The Ducati ST2 was a sport-touring motorcycle manufactured by Ducati from 1997 to 2003. It was part of the ST series that comprised another four models with similar appearances due to their shared components but with different engines.

In 1998, the Italian motorcycle maker launched the Ducati ST2, a fully faired machine in its second year of production that didn't receive any modification whatsoever, packing the same performance and visual features as the previous model.

The bike was fitted with standard features, including a full fairing, an adjustable windscreen, integrated turn signals with clear lenses, a one-piece dual seat with a passenger grab handle, a dual exhaust system, a center stand, and three-spoke lightweight aluminum wheels.

The 1998 Ducati ST2 shared the same suspension as the previous model, with a 43 mm fully adjustable upside-down Showa fork on the front and a fully adjustable Sachs shock absorber on the rear.

As for the braking power, the machine was fitted with two 320 mm discs with four-piston calipers on the front wheel and a 245 mm disc with a dual-piston caliper on the rear wheel, delivering strong and reliable stopping power.

As for power, the 1998 Ducati ST2 was set in motion by a 944cc four-stroke liquid-cooled V-twin engine that delivered an output power of 83 hp with maximum strength at 8,500 rpm and 84 Nm (62 lb-ft) torque at 6,500 rpm.
