DUCATI Sport 1000S (2007-2008) Specs, Performance & Photos

The Ducati Sport 1000 was a retro-styled machine part of the Ducati Sport Classics range introduced at the 2003 Tokyo Motor Show. The bike debuted in 2006 and continued production until 2009.

In 2007, the Ducati Sport 1000 was available in two versions, including the Monoposto, which had a single seat, and the Biposto model, which included a passenger seat with a removable pillion cowl.

Another model available in 2007 was the Ducati Sport 1000S, with a red-finished frame and swingarm, black-finished rims and engine covers, and a half-upper fairing with a round headlight that gave it a more aggressive look.

The 2007 Ducati Sport 1000S packed standard features, such as a half-upper fairing with a round headlight, a small windscreen, a dual seat, a dual exhaust system with a muffler on each side, and wire-spoke wheels with black rims.

In plain sight underneath its fuel tank was a 992cc four-stroke air-cooled V-twin engine with an electronically-controlled fuel injection system in charge, delivering an output power of 92 hp with maximum strength at 8,000 rpm and 91 Nm (67 lb-ft) torque at 6,000 rpm.

In the suspension department, the bike packed a 43 mm fully adjustable upside-down fork on the front with 120 mm wheel travel and fully adjustable side-mounted shock absorbers on the rear with 133 mm wheel travel.
