DUCATI Sport 1000 Biposto (2008-2009) Specs, Performance & Photos

The Ducati Sport 1000 was a retro-styled motorcycle part of the Ducati Sport Classics range presented at the 2003 Tokyo Motor Show and debuted in 2006. The bike was inspired by the 1973 Ducati 750 Sport and had a classic, lightweight, single-seat cafe racer look.

In 2008, the Italian motorcycle manufacturer launched the Ducati Sport 1000 Biposo, a retro-styled machine in its third year of production. As its name suggests, the bike came equipped with a dual seat.

The 2008 Ducati Sport 1000 Biposto had standard features, such as a large, round headlight, a dual seat, a dual exhaust system with a muffler on each side, a side stand, and wire-spoke wheels.

The wheels were equipped with two 320 mm discs coupled to four-piston calipers on the front and a 245 mm disc squeezed by a dual-piston caliper on the rear, offering excellent stopping power.

The bike's suspension comprised a 43 mm fully adjustable upside-down fork on the front with 120 mm wheel travel and a fully adjustable Sachs shock absorber on the rear with 133 mm wheel travel.

As for the power figures, the 2008 Ducati Sport 1000 Biposto had its soul brought to life by a 992cc four-stroke air-cooled V-twin engine with an electronically-controlled fuel injection system in charge, boasting 92 hp at 8,000 rpm and 91 Nm (67 lb-ft) torque at 6,000 rpm.
