The Panigale V4 was a sports machine manufactured by a Ducati from 2018, named after the small manufacturing town of Borgo Panigale. The Panigale V4 was Ducati's first large production machine that featured a V4 engine.

In 2023, the Italian maker presented its Ducati Panigale lineup, comprised of the V4, V4 S, and V4 SP2 models, which introduced a series of electronic improvements that enhanced its performance and made it easier and more intuitive for riders of all experience levels.

Some of the bike's highlights were represented by a new Engine Brake Control (EBC) Evo 2 software that optimized engine brake intensity depending on the rear wheel load. It also received a new strategy for the Ducati Quick Shift (DSQ) that improved shifting fluidity.

All the upgrades brought to the 2023 Panigale V4 lineup will be available on 2022 models, including Ducati Panigale V4, V4 S, and V4 SP2, with a simple intervention performed at a Ducati service starting from the end of July 2023.

The 2023 Ducati Panigale V4 was powered by a 1,103cc Desmosedici Stradale V4 liquid-cooled engine with an electronic fuel injection system, delivering an output power of 216 hp at 13,000 rpm and 123 Nm (91 lb-ft) torque at 9,500 rpm.

The aluminum alloy frame was packed on the front, with a 43 mm fully adjustable Showa BPF telescopic fork and a fully adjustable Sachs shock absorber with a single-sided aluminum swingarm on the rear, delivering excellent suspension performance and handling.

As for the stopping power, the 2023 Ducati Panigale V4 packed 10-spoke lightweight wheels with two 330 mm discs engaged by hydraulic calipers on the front. On the rear, the braking performance was achieved by a 245 mm disc with a hydraulic caliper.
