Segment: Sport Touring
Powering the motorcycle is an air-cooled L-twin 1079 cc engine with 83.5 hp (62.3 kW) at 7250 RPM and 66.7 lb-ft (90.5 Nm) of torque at 4750 RPM, and also featuring a desmodromic distribution. It has a special design of the valve springs in order to reduce the valve float at very high revs. In addition to the standard air-cooling, a front radiator is mounted on the bike, for oil cooling.
The main difference between the Ducati 1100 Sport PRO and Ducati 1100 Pro is at the suspension parts. The rear suspension for the 1100 Sport PRO is articulated by a gull-wing swing-arm type with an Ohlins monoshock, and the front dampening is provided by an Ohlins inverted fork, which is completely adjustable on load and preload. The Ducati 1100 Pro doesn't have the Ohlins suspension.
The standard version comes with several riding modes (active – full power, journey – more mellow acceleration, and city for the most forgiving acceleration response), power mode, Ducati Safety Pack (cornering ABS + DTC – Ducati traction control), Led light-guide, LED rear light with diffusion-light, LCD panel with gear/fuel/rpm/speed indicator.
