BMW K1300S Dynamic Package (2012-2013) Specs, Performance & Photos

The BMW K1300S was a fully-faired sports motorcycle that debuted in 2008 as a replacement for the K1200S, which has been in production since 2004. Compared to its predecessor, the K1300S had a displacement increase, more power, redesigned fairings, and a new exhaust system.

In 2012, the German motorcycle manufacturer launched the BMW K1300S Dynamic Package, a special machine that packed all the latest technologies developed by the House of Munich.

As opposed to the standard model, the K1300S Dynamic Package version was fitted with standard features, such as Automatic Stability Control (ASC), Tire Pressure Monitor (TPM), Electronic Suspension Adjustment (ESA II), heated grips, an on-board computer, HP gear assistant, and a MotoGP-inspired livery.

In the aesthetic department, the bike packed a full fairing with a small windscreen, a one-piece dual seat with passenger grab rails, a single exhaust system mounted on the right side, a side stand, and 10-spoke lightweight wheels.

The bike was built on an aluminum bridge-type frame with a Duolever front and Paralever rear suspension system for excellent handling. In the braking department, the front wheel was fitted with two 320 mm discs and four-piston calipers, and the rear wheel packed a 265 mm disc with a dual-piston caliper.

As for the power figures, the 2012 BMW K1300S Dynamic Package had installed underneath its fairing a 1,293cc four-stroke liquid-cooled four-cylinder engine that delivered an output power of 175 hp at 9,250 rpm and 140 Nm (103 lb-ft) torque at 8,250 rpm.
