BMW K1300S 30th Anniversary Edition (2013-2014) Specs, Performance & Photos

In 2013, the German motorcycle manufacturer launched the BMW K1300S 30th Anniversary Edition, a special machine celebrating the first appearance of the K series, which debuted with the BMW K100 model in 1983.

The special edition machine packed standard technologies and accessories, such as Electronic Suspension Adjustment (ESA II), Tire Pressure Control (TPM), RDC, Automatic Stability Control (ASC), Anti-Lock Braking System (ABS), and an HP shift assistant.

As for accessories, the bike was fitted with an onboard computer, heated grips for a more comfortable riding experience, HP footrests for both rider and passenger, an Akrapovic exhaust system, and a special color scheme with white, red, and black.

In the visual department, the bike packed standard features, such as a full fairing with a special livery, a small windscreen, a one-piece dual seat with passenger grab handles, a four-into-one exhaust system, a single-sided swingarm, and Y-shaped 10-spoke lightweight wheels.

In the suspension department, a Duolever front and Paralever rear suspension system softened the bike's handling. At the same time, the braking performance was achieved by two 320 mm discs coupled with four-piston calipers on the front wheel and a 265 mm disc squeezed by a dual-piston caliper on the rear wheel.

As for power, the 2013 BMW K1300S 30th Anniversary Edition had installed underneath its bodywork a 1,293cc four-stroke four-cylinder liquid-cooled engine that delivered 173 hp at 9,250 rpm and 140 Nm (103 lb-ft) torque at 8,250 rpm.
