BMW K1300S (2015-2016) Specs, Performance & Photos

The BMW K1300S was a sports motorcycle dressed in a full fairing that debuted in 2008 as a replacement for the BMW K1200S, which was in production since 2004. Compared to its predecessor, the bike featured a displacement increase with more power on tap, redesigned fairings, and a new exhaust system.

In 2015, the German motorcycle manufacturer launched the BMW K1300S, a motorcycle in its eighth year of production packed with high-end technologies and accessories. The BMW K1300S was manufactured until 2016.

In the appearance department, the motorcycle was fitted with standard features, such as a full fairing with a small windscreen, a single headlight, a one-piece dual seat with passenger grab rails, a single-sided swingarm, and Y-shaped 10-spoke lightweight aluminum wheels.

Technology-wise, the bike was packed with BMW Motorrad ABS, Automatic Stability Control (ASC), Electronic Suspension Adjustment (ESA II), gear shift assist, and a race-inspired 2D HP dashboard. It was also available in a Motorsport package, significantly increasing its performance, agility, and aesthetics.

The 2015 BMW K1300S had its soul brought to life by a 1,293cc four-stroke liquid-cooled four-cylinder engine fed by an electronically-controlled fuel injection system, boasting 175 hp at 9,250 rpm and 140 Nm (103 lb-ft) torque at 8,250 rpm.

The bike's backbone was an aluminum bridge-type frame fitted with a Duolever front and Paralever rear suspension system for excellent suspension performance and handling.
