BMW K1300GT Exclusive Edition (2011-2012) Specs, Performance & Photos

The BMW K1300GT was a sports-touring-oriented machine that debuted in 2009 as a replacement for the BMW K1200GT. The K1300GT packed a slightly larger engine with more power on tap, an improved optional Electronic Suspension Adjustment (ESA II) system, a single indicator switch, and crash bars underneath its fairing.

In 2011, the German motorcycle maker launched the BMW K1300GT Exclusive Edition, a limited edition motorcycle best suited for riders who wanted the latest in comfort, technology, and safety.

The 2011 BMW K1300GT Exclusive Edition packed standard features, such as a full fairing with an adjustable windscreen, a pulled-back handlebar with heated grips, a two-piece dual seat with passenger grab rails, a 49-liter top case with an integrated passenger backrest, and side-mounted panniers for extra storage.

In the technical department, the motorcycle was fitted with high-end electronics, such as Electronic Suspension Adjustment (ESA II), Automatic Stability Control (ASC), Tire Pressure Monitor (TPM), RDC, and Anti-Lock Braking System (ABS).

Underneath its clothes, the 2011 BMW K1300GT Exclusive Edition had installed a 1,298cc four-stroke liquid-cooled four-cylinder engine fed by a fuel injection system, boasting 173 hp at 9,250 rpm and 140 Nm (103 lb-ft) torque at 8,250 rpm.

The bike's power was sent to the rear wheel through a six-speed manual gearbox with a wet multi-plate clutch and a final shaft drive, pushing the motorcycle to 252 kph (157 mph).
